With all the hype that has surrounded over the past two seasons, it’s easy to forget how young he really is.

MLB's No. 1 prospect played 70 games at the highest level of the Minors before he could order a beer. But he can now.

Roman Anthony turned 21 on May 13, and this week, he celebrated the occasion with the entire WooSox squad.

The club’s media team set up a pseudo pong game in the home dugout at Polar Park. The table was decorated with balloons, streamers, party hats and a paper banner marking the special day for Boston’s top prospect.

Instead of guzzling an adult beverage, Anthony and his teammates played a Q&A game and "won" a handful of Sour Patch Kids on every made shot.

When Anthony arrived at the bash, he was greeted by a familiar face: Jamie Westbrook. The veteran infielder spent the 2024 season in Boston’s organization and is now a member of the Durham Bulls, Tampa Bay's Triple-A affiliate and Worcester’s opponent this week.

Westbrook took a “celebrity shot” at the table before wishing his former teammate a happy birthday.

Despite being the second-youngest player at Triple-A for most of the season (third-youngest following the promotion of Baltimore’s Fernando Peguero), Anthony has been one of the top players in the International League. His .959 OPS ranks in the top 10 on the circuit, and he has reached base in all 18 games this month.

Anthony wrapped up the party by showing off his own pong skills and breaking a piñata.

His question: What TV show would you like to star in?

"'Entourage'," Anthony said. "It’s my favorite show. Me and Marcelo [Mayer] have watched it probably like four times now."

If Anthony continues the trajectory he’s on, the 2022 79th overall pick will be as famous as the show's protagonist, Vincent Chase, before he knows it.
