Alumni Night presented by Your Local Ford Dealer will include a parade in The Battery Atlanta, 1995 World Series Replica Ring Gate Giveaway presented by Coca-Cola, and special on-field ceremony recognizing members of the 1995 Braves team
The Atlanta Braves will celebrate Alumni Night presented by Your Local Ford Dealer by recognizing the thirtieth anniversary of the 1995 World Series at Truist Park on Friday, August 22, when the team takes on the New York Mets. More than thirty alumni from the 1995 World Series team will be in attendance, including the ‘Big Three’ Hall of Fame starting pitchers: Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, and John Smoltz.
At 6pm, the 1995 team alumni will parade through The Battery Atlanta, where fans can line up along Battery Avenue to see the legends. The parade will begin outside the Silverspot Cinema near the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Battery Avenue. It will travel down Battery Avenue and conclude by the Third Base Gate. This event is free, and a game ticket is not required.
The first 15,000 fans who enter the gates of Truist Park for the game that night will receive a Glavine, Maddux, or Smoltz 1995 World Series Replica Ring presented by Coca-Cola. Braves legends will be introduced individually as they parade down a red carpet in center field, and a special pregame ceremony will commemorate the thirtieth anniversary and honor that team and the alumni in attendance. Following the game, fans can enjoy the traditional Friday Night Fireworks presented by Georgia Lottery.
Select tickets for the August 22 game are still available. Additional information about that night’s celebrations is available at Braves.com/promo.
