Atlanta Braves to Celebrate Hispanic and Latino Culture with Ninth Annual Los Bravos Night Presented by Georgia Power on September 23

As part of the Braves’ overarching Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, this night will honor the important contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities both on and off the field

The Atlanta Braves will host their ninth annual Los Bravos Night presented by Georgia Power on Tuesday, September 23, at Truist Park as the team takes on the Washington Nationals. In alignment with Hispanic Heritage Month, the night will honor and celebrate the culturally rich and diverse Hispanic and Latino communities across Braves Country and beyond, including their important impact on the sport of baseball.

Fans are encouraged to arrive at The Battery Atlanta early to enjoy Hispanic and Latino pregame entertainment and activations, featuring cultural salsa band performance by Dela Fuente & Caribbean Soul and dance performances by PASOFino Dance Studio beginning at 5:00 p.m., folkloric-dressed stilt walkers, a “Pin Your Heritage” life-size map activity where fans can proudly display their heritage, photo opportunities, face painting, and more. Hispanic and Latin American flags will be showcased across the Atlanta Braves bridge, further decorating The Battery Atlanta for this special celebration.

The food truck located outside of First Base Gate will be transformed into a “Los Bravos Food Truck,” serving authentic cultural cuisine including Los Bravos Tacos, Los Bravos Rice Bowls, Beef Empanadas, Los Bravos Fruit Bowl, and Churros. Fans will also be able to pick up an infographic at the Los Bravos photo location, which highlights unique baseball facts and the intersection with the Hispanic and Latino community.

In honor of Los Bravos Night presented by Georgia Power, the Braves are offering a Los Bravos Night Ticket Package. With the purchase of this specialty ticket package, fans will receive a game ticket to the Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals game on September 23 and an exclusive Los Bravos jersey shirt inspired by the vibrant designs across Hispanic and Latino cultures. In ballpark, the team will honor Hispanic Braves players and coaches through a special pregame presentation that highlights and celebrates their diverse cultural backgrounds, ranging from Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Cuba, and others. The game’s Ceremonial First Pitch will also feature a key member of the local Hispanic and Latino community.

Launching on this year’s Los Bravos Night, the Braves Clubhouse Store will release three new, exclusive Los Bravos adult t-shirts, including a red Confetti Los Bravos Tee, a chrome Los Bravos Loteria tee inspired by the popular cultural game with a Braves twist, and a chrome Beisbol de Los Bravos tee. Additional Los Bravos satin jackets, t-shirts, caps, and novelty items will also be available for purchase, will supplies last. Leading up to Los Bravos Night, El Jimador, a Proud Partner of Los Bravos, is bringing fans closer to the action by offering fans the chance to cast their vote on social media at @losbravos and @truistpark on both Instagram and Facebook for their favorite of four signature El Jimador cocktails. The winning cocktail will be exclusively featured at the El Jimador Bar in The Battery Atlanta Plaza on this year’s Los Bravos Night, giving fans a unique way to celebrate with the team.

The Braves will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15-October 15, with the release of unique content spotlights every Wednesday, including the fan-favorite, social media series Los Bravos Untold presented by T-Mobile, which shares a deep dive into the background of key Hispanic and Latino Braves players and coaches, both past and present, that play an important role in Braves History. This year’s Los Bravos Untold series will highlight Atlanta Braves alumnus Javy López and Atlanta Braves coach Eddie Pérez. In addition, fans can anticipate a new content series called Cocinando con Los Bravos, where Javy López and Eddie Pérez join Chef Héctor Santiago from El Super Pan in preparing traditional dishes from their cultures while also sharing about their heritage, life beyond baseball, and more.

The Braves will also continue their collaboration with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to host the eighth annual 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia presented by Truist, on September 15 at Truist Park. This event honors the achievements of individuals across various categories, including business, arts and culture, community service, and more.

With Braves Country being home to a large, diverse Hispanic and Latino community and understanding the cultural impact these communities have on the game of baseball, the Braves work to intentionally celebrate, honor, and support these communities throughout the year. Among these efforts is the Los Bravos Un Equipo program, which supports Hispanic and Latino communities across Braves Country by building food security and supporting education. This season, the Braves also worked alongside their partners to in the Metro Atlanta Hispanic community to help host resource events that provide community members with food assistance, access to public resources, and additional support. Last season, through Los Bravos Un Equipo and community resource events, the Braves partnered with Georgia Power and Kaiser Permanente to deliver 47,000 pounds of food to 2,500 individuals.

New for this season, Braves broadcast rightsholder FanDuel Sports Network has been offering fans a Spanish-language option for every regionally televised Atlanta Braves regular-season game. With the addition of Spanish broadcast through a second audio program (SAP), the team welcomed new talent; Franscico X. Rivera joined FanDuel Sports Network as their first Spanish play-by-play announcer and is the first Spanish television voice of the Atlanta Braves. The Braves also have an established history of collaborating with Spanish-speaking media, such as Braves radio partner La Mejor Radio, to meet fans where they are and increase access to Braves baseball.
