The Angels host their third homestand of the year from May 1 – May 11. The homestand will start with a four-game series against the Tigers. Following the Detroit series, the homestand will continue with a three-game set against the Blue Jays, and conclude with a three-game series against the Orioles. Below is a look at the notable events and ceremonies taking place at Angel Stadium over the next 11 days.
BROADCAST SCHEDULE
- On Thursday, May 1, the Angels game against the Detroit Tigers and accompanying pre-game show will be broadcast locally in Southern California on KCOP-13.
MOTHER’S DAY
- On Sunday, May 11, the Angels will celebrate Mother’s Day at Angel Stadium. Prior to the game, there will be a Mother’s Day Brunch held in the Rose Garden, as well as an opportunity for moms to take the field in a pregame parade. There will also be an on-field ceremony with Susan G. Komen and a ceremonial first pitch by the game’s Honorary Bat Girl, Sharon Evans. During the game, Angels players will also sport pink ribbons, wristbands, socks, and equipment. Additionally, the first 25,000 fans in attendance will receive a Clear Belt Bag courtesy of SoCalGas.
SATURDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS
- Fans in attendance of the Saturday night games on May 3 and May 10 will be treated to a postgame firework show driven by your SoCal Hyundai Dealers.
GIVEAWAYS
- Upon entrance to the game on Friday, May 2, the first 25,000 fans in attendance will receive a Ben Joyce Bobblehead courtesy of Nitto Tire.
- Upon entrance to the game on Friday, May 9, the first 25,000 fans in attendance will receive a Quilted Quarter Zip courtesy of MemorialCare.
TAIWANESE HERITAGE NIGHT
- On Thursday, May 1, the Angels will celebrate Taiwanese Heritage Night at Angel Stadium, presented by EVA Air. Prior to the game, there will be a Taiwanese Heritage Village in the Rose Garden, featuring food and drinks and a traditional Taiwanese puppet show at 5:30 p.m. Additionally, there will be a pre-game performance on the field by the Wing Stars of the TSG Hawks from the Chinese Professional Baseball League. During the game, there will also be special recognition for the Taiwanese community.
IN THE COMMUNITY
- On Friday, May 2, Ryan Johnson will visit students at Eisenhower Elementary School as part of the Angels Adopt-A-School program.
- On Wednesday, May 7, Jack Kochanowicz will visit students at Sycamore Magnet School as part of the Angels Adopt-A-School program.
- On Friday, May 9, Zach Neto will visit students at College Park Elementary School as part of the Angels Adopt-A-School program.
