The Red Sox-Orioles game scheduled for Thursday, May 22, at Fenway Park has been postponed due to significant rainfall expected to continue through the evening in the Fenway area.
Today’s game has been rescheduled as the first game of a split doubleheader tomorrow, Friday, May 23, beginning at 1:35 p.m. Tickets for today’s game will be good for admission to the rescheduled contest. Tomorrow’s regularly scheduled game remains at 7:10 p.m.
Baltimore will send left-hander Cade Povich (1-3, 5.23 ERA) to the hill in Game 1 opposite Boston righty Brayan Bello (2-1, 4.02 ERA). Right-hander Lucas Giolito (1-1, 7.08 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Sox in the nightcap; the O's have not yet announced their Game 2 starter.
Tomorrow’s games will be televised on NESN. Both games will be broadcast in English on WEEI 93.7 FM and in Spanish on WESX 1230 AM/WCCM 1490 AM.
