MIAMI – The Miami Marlins today announced that the Club signed all 21 selections from the 2025 First-Year Player Draft before today’s signing deadline.
Miami drafted and signed all 21 players from the collegiate ranks. The club’s 2025 Draft class includes 11 pitchers (four right-handers/seven left-handers), one catcher, six infielders and three outfielders. Shortstop Aiva Arquette, 21, was Miami’s top pick this season, taken in the first round (seventh overall) out of Oregon State University. He ranked as the consensus top college position player in the 2025 class, the fifth-best overall prospect by Baseball America, and the sixth-best overall prospect by MLB Pipeline. He led the Beavers to the program’s eighth Men’s College World Series appearance by hitting .360 (18x50) with three doubles, two home runs, and six RBI in 11 tournament games.
Outfielder Cam Cannarella, 21, was the Marlins’ Competitive Balance Round A (43rd overall) selection out of Clemson University. He made 168 starts in center field during his three seasons (2023-25) with Clemson, highlighted by his ACC Freshman of the Year award in 2023 and a .353 batting average (82x232) and 1.010 OPS during his junior season in 2025.
Also highlighting Miami’s signees are a pair of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School teammates 1B Chris Arroyo (5th round, 139th overall) and RHP Jake Clemente (7th round, 198th overall). The duo are two of Miami’s six signees that either played high school or college ball in the state of Florida.
