MIAMI – The Miami Marlins will host the Colorado Rockies at loanDepot park on Opening Day – Thursday, March 26, as the full 2026 schedule was announced today by Major League Baseball.
Opening Day 2026 will mark Miami's fourth consecutive season beginning at home, and the third time that the Marlins host their 1993 Expansion counterpart on Opening Day, previously in 2014 (10-1 Marlins win) and 2019 (6-3 Marlins loss). All three Opening Day matchups between the Marlins and Rockies have been since loanDepot park opened in 2012, as the Rockies remain the only National League West team to enjoy Opening Day at loanDepot park.
The opening homestand, which has a built-in off-day on Friday, March 27, continues with the final two games of the series against the Rockies on March 28-29, before the Chicago White Sox come to loanDepot park for a three-game set from March 30-April 1. Miami will then travel to New York for a three-game road trip, facing the Yankees from April 3-5.
Miami will play against just one National League East opponent during the first month of the season, with a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves from April 13-15. In the club’s first 47 games from March 26-May 17, the Marlins will play 10 contests within the division, with the first home series against a divisional rival taking place from May 1-4 vs. Philadelphia.
The 2026 season begins the fourth year since Major League Baseball implemented the balanced schedule, as the Marlins will host eight American League teams, including the White Sox during the opening homestand, and followed by the Baltimore Orioles (May 5-7), Tampa Bay Rays (June 5-7), Texas Rangers (June 22-24), Seattle Mariners (July 7-9), Cleveland Guardians (July 10-12), Los Angeles Angels (Aug. 7-9), and Boston Red Sox (Aug. 24-26).
The Marlins will host games at loanDepot park on Mother’s Day (May 10 vs. the Nationals), Father’s Day (June 21 vs. the Giants) and Labor Day (September 7 vs. the Mets), while they will play on the road for the Fourth of July (July 4 at Athletics) for the first time since 2022.
Miami concludes the 2026 regular season schedule at loanDepot park, with a three-game homestand against the Atlanta Braves from September 25-27.
