MIAMI – The Miami Marlins and University of Miami Health System (UHealth) today announced a multi-year partnership extension, reaffirming UHealth’s role as the club’s Official Medical Provider. This renewal solidifies UHealth’s position as a Pillar Partner of the Marlins organization and underscores both brands' shared commitment to excellence in orthopedic care and community well-being, delivering cutting-edge care for Marlins players and impactful health initiatives for the South Florida community.
Through the University of Miami Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute, renowned UHealth physicians, known for their expertise and dedication, will continue collaborating with the Marlins medical team and sports scientists to optimize player health. Their advanced diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation protocols will ensure the team performs at its peak, leveraging UHealth’s expertise to support the Marlins pursuit of excellence on the field.
“We’re thrilled to extend our long-term partnership with UHealth, a leader in sports medicine and patient care, and one of South Florida’s most trusted brands,” said Caroline O’Connor, Miami Marlins President of Business. “This collaboration empowers our players and team with world-class orthopedics and medical expertise to excel on the field while amplifying our shared commitment to health and wellness in the community. This state-of-the-art center will provide top-tier academic medicine, including world-class musculoskeletal care from the Department of Orthopaedics to patients in the communities of North Miami, Aventura, and beyond. Meanwhile, the recently opened UHealth Doral Medical Center in that growing city further strengthens UHealth’s commitment to accessible, high-quality care. The Marlins are eager to leverage their platform to amplify awareness of these innovative neighborhood medical centerpieces.
At loanDepot park, UHealth’s presence will be more prominent than ever. Fans will notice enhanced branding, including a new First Base stencil design featuring the official UHealth logo and tagline “Official Doctors of the Miami Marlins.”
