Kyle and Paige Schwarber Host Third Annual Block Party to Support First Responders

Following a decisive win against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday, Phillies players, staff, family and fans joined Kyle and Paige Schwarber at Yards Brewing in Northern Liberties for the annual Schwarber’s Block Party, an event benefiting first responders and military families.

The program, held in a talk show format, was hosted by former major league pitcher and MLB Network analyst Ryan Dempster. The show featured live Q&A’s with Schwarber, his teammates Brandon Marsh and Bryson Stott, as well as Philadelphia Flyers alumni Scott Hartnell and Kimmo Timonen. The event also featured silent and live auctions, with items including autographed and game-used memorabilia, premium experiences and more, with proceeds benefitting the cause. The live auction included the opportunity to watch a game from the Phillies Owners’ Suite, donated by John and Leigh Middleton – who also matched all proceeds from the auction!

With the combined effort, the night raised a grand total of $380,878, with beneficiaries including the Philadelphia Fire Department Foundation, Philadelphia Police Foundation, Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation and Team Foster.
