LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled outfielder James Outman and placed outfielder Teoscar Herńandez on the injury list with a left groin strain.
Outman, 27, joins the club for the first time this season. He was hitting .254 with eight homers and 27 RBI with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Last season, he played 53 games for the Dodgers, clubbing four homers and driving in 11. He enters his fourth season with the Dodgers, slashing .231/.337/.408 with 28 homers and 84 RBI. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Sacramento State University.
Hernández, 32, left yesterday’s game in the fourth inning. He has played in 33 games this year, hitting .315 with nine homers and a Major League leading 34 RBI. In two seasons with the Dodgers, he has played in 187 games, clubbing 42 homers and driving 133 runs. He has played in 998 games with the Houston Astros (2016-17), Toronto Blue Jays (2017-22), Seattle Mariners (2023) and Dodgers (2024-), hitting .264 with 201 homers and 606 RBI. He re-signed with the Dodgers on January 3, 2025.
