DODGERS CLAIM LUKEN BAKER
LOS ANGELE**S –** The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed infielder Luken Baker from the St. Louis Cardinals and designated right-handed pitcher Jack Little for assignment.
Baker, 28, hit .235 with two RBI in 19 games with the Cardinals this season. He played 73 games for the Cardinals from 2023-25, slashing .206/.317/.338 with four homers and 22 RBI. He has tallied 136 homers with 422 RBI in 638 minor league games. He was drafted with the 75th overall pick in the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Texas Christian University.
Little, 27, made two appearances this season for Los Angeles and allowed two runs in three innings. He made 36 appearances for the Oklahoma City Comets, going 5-4 with a 4.64 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 42.2 innings. He was in the Dodger organization for five seasons, going 11-9 with a 4.89 ERA in 138 minor league games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the fifth round of the 2019 First Year Player Draft out of Stanford University.
