Dodgers Activate Blake Treinen, Recall Justin Wrobleski

DODGERS ACTIVATE BLAKE TREINEN, RECALL JUSTIN WROBLESKI

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Blake Treinen, recalled left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski and optioned right-handed pitchers Will Klein and Edgardo Henriquez.

Treinen, 37, has been on the injured list since April 19 with right forearm tightness. Prior to the injury, he made eight appearances for the Dodgers, going 0-2 with two saves and a 3.38 ERA. He made seven rehab starts between the ACL Dodgers and Triple-A Oklahoma City, striking out 10 batters in seven innings. He has been in the Majors 11 seasons with Washington (2014-17), Oakland (2017-19) and the Dodgers, and he is 43-36 with a 2.79 ERA in 507 games. He has 82 career saves with 570 strikeouts. He was drafted by the Athletics in the seventh round of the 2011 First Year Player Draft out of South Dakota State University.

Wrobleski, 25, returns for his fourth stint with the team and he is 4-3 with a 4.50 ERA. He has made eight appearances, two starts, striking out 40 batters in 40.0 innings. He has made 11 appearances for Triple-A Oklahoma City, tossing 51.2 innings with a 4.18 ERA and 47 strikeouts. He made his Major League debut in 2024, going 1-2 with a 5.70 ERA in eight games. The southpaw is 13-12 with a 3.45 ERA in 69 minor league games. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2021 First Year Player Draft out of Oklahoma State University.

Klein, 25, pitched last night, tossing a scoreless inning with one strikeout. He made 10 appearances for Los Angeles, tossing 10.2 innings with a 3.38 ERA. He was acquired on June 2 from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for left-handed pitcher Joe Jacques. He made his Major League debut in 2024, allowing nine runs in 7.1 innings between the Royals and Athletics. In five minor league seasons, he is 13-11 with a 5.42 ERA in 182 games. He was drafted by the Royals in the 2020 First Year Player Draft out of Eastern Illinois University in the fifth round.

Henriquez, 23, recorded his third straight scoreless outing last night and tossed 2.1 scoreless innings in his first stint with the club. With Triple-A Oklahoma City, he has appeared in 18 games, posting a 1-0 record with a 5.89 ERA. He has 26 strikeouts in 18.1 innings. He made his Major League debut in Los Angeles last season, going 0-0 with a 2.70 ERA and five strikeouts in 3.1 innings. The Venezuelan native has been in the organization since 2019, appearing in 106 games, striking out 238 batters in 171.2 innings. He was signed as an international free agent by the Dodgers on September 25, 2018.
