
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Case Sullivan (Valparaiso), Bryce Calloway (New Orleans) and Justin Lamkin (Texas A&M) earned weekly honors from the College Baseball Foundation (CBF) for their respective performances last week, it was announced on Tuesday.
Sullivan earned the Brooks Wallace Award Player of the Week while Calloway was named the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week. Lamkin was selected as the National Pitcher of the Week.
Brooks Wallace Award Player of the Week (Nation’s Most Outstanding Shortstop)
Case Sullivan, IF, RS-Freshman, Valparaiso, Carmel, Ind.
Sullivan starred at the plate and in the field in four games last week, including helping Valpo end its season on a high note with a series win over Southern Illinois. The redshirt freshman led the Beacons’ offense throughout the week, going 8-for-16 (.500) with three doubles, two home runs, two walks and eight RBI against the Salukis. Sullivan had four hits in five at bats with six RBI and four runs scored in helping Valparaiso to a 24-14 eight-inning victory over SIU. It was the highest run total in the past 15 years for Valpo. Sullivan was also flawless in the field, fielding cleanly on 20 chances in a mid-week game against Northwestern and the three-game set against SIU.
John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week Award
Bryce Calloway, RHP/OF, Senior, New Orleans, New Orleans
Calloway was spectacular on the mound and at the plate in leading the Privateers to three victories at the Southland Conference Tournament. The senior was 7-for-12 (.583) for the week with four home runs, seven RBI and six runs scored for the week. Calloway tallied the save in each of his team’s three victories, allowing only two hits and two runs in 2.1 innings combined in the three outings. He has 11 saves this season. New Orleans defeated Southeastern Louisiana (10-6) and Northwestern State twice (3-2, 10-6) to earn a spot in the Southland Conference Championship series against Houston Christian.
National Pitcher of the Week
Justin Lamkin, LHP, Junior, Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, Texas
Lamkin stifled one of the nation’s most prolific offenses in earning a complete game shutout win over No. 10 Georgia last Friday. The Aggie right hander scattered three hits on 121 pitches while striking out a career-high 15 batters in a 6-0 win over the Bulldogs. He didn’t issue a walk and retired the final 16 batters he faced in becoming the first Texas A&M pitcher to record a complete game shutout on the road since Michael Wacha in 2012. It was his fourth win and the third 10+ strikeout outing for Lamkin this season. Lamkin was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week for his performance.

Brooks Wallace Award
The Brooks Wallace Award is presented annually to honor the nation's most outstanding shortstop. It is a tribute to Brooks Wallace, a slick-fielding shortstop at Texas Tech from 1977-80 who passed away at age 27 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Prior to 2009, the award recognized the national player of the year.

John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award
The John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award is presented annually by the College Baseball Foundation to honor the nation's top combo pitcher-position player. Olerud, who was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, was a standout pitcher and first baseman at Washington State from 1987 through 1989.

About the College Baseball Hall of Fame
Each year, more than 190 representatives nationwide vote on the College Baseball Hall of Fame induction class. The voting body is comprised of national and regional college baseball media, active and retired coaches, former players, former inductees, college baseball historians and members of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) collegiate baseball committee. The College Baseball Hall of Fame inducted its first class in 2006. Since that time, 165 players, coaches, umpires, administrators and contributors have been selected for induction.
