Camden Yards is getting a high-tech facelift.

The Maryland Stadium Authority has approved plans for a series of upgrades that will improve the sights and sounds at Oriole Park, highlighted by a new center-field videoboard that will be 2 1/2 times larger than the park’s existing display. When it’s installed, the new videoboard will be the 12th largest among those at Major League Baseball stadiums.

The enhancements, which are scheduled to begin following the 2025 season and be operational for 2026, will also include changes to the right-field wall display and the upper-deck and club-level ribbon boards, as well as a unified control room. In total, there will be 1,125 feet of new ribbon board and 16,681,456 new pixels added throughout Camden Yards, all featuring 4K resolution.

Oriole Park, which opened in 1992 and has been credited with ushering in a new era of retro-style ballparks around MLB, has undergone a number of changes over the years -- including a recent modification to the left-field wall for the 2025 season.

These updates are part of Baltimore’s continued investment in the ballpark’s future. In December 2023, the Orioles finalized a new 30-year lease agreement, ensuring that Camden Yards will remain their home for decades to come.
