Over one month into the 2025 MLB season, both Rookie of the Year races have a clear group of contenders based on the latest odds at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

In the American League, Athletics shortstop is a -105 favorite for an implied probability of 51.22% to win the award. Boston Red Sox second baseman Kristian Campbell has a +250 value in the market. No other player is listed better than 10/1.

As for the National League, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher (+275), Washington Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews (+275) and Miami Marlins catcher Agustín Ramírez (+350) are the only players in the Majors priced better than 10/1.

The MLB Rookie of the Year odds market has moved significantly since being released in January.

Wilson, who started with +700 odds, is BetMGM’s most significant liability in the AL ROY race. He has received 20.2% of the sports betting handle while hitting .357 with 21 RBIs in his first 150 plate appearances this season.

Campbell began with a +1100 price tag, which was longer odds than Boston’s other rookie, Roman Anthony (+700). Campbell broke camp with the big league team and has posted a .287 batting average with 13 RBIs and four home runs this year.

Yankees outfielder Jasson Domínguez is 10/1 to win this award after starting as a +600 favorite in the offseason.

Since opening as a +300 favorite, Sasaki has maintained his status near the top of the NL Rookie of the Year market. He’s recorded a 3.86 ERA and 24 strikeouts across 30 1/3 innings in his first seven starts.

Crews has also been near the top of this market since January, when he opened at +350. He’s tallied seven RBIs, four home runs and nine stolen bases in 35 games. Ramírez, on the other hand, is in the mix after being a 50/1 long shot in the winter. He’s registered an OPS+ of 157 with four homers and eight RBIs in 14 games.

Don’t be surprised if more long shots emerge out of nowhere this summer.

This time last year, Yankees starter Luis Gil was a 50/1 long shot, and Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes hadn’t made his MLB debut yet. Both pitchers went on to win Rookie of the Year in 2024.
