For nearly three decades, Major League Baseball and its clubs have endeavored to formally give back to the local communities that make room for the All-Star Game and its fanfare. 2025 will be no different.
With Atlanta playing host to this season’s All-Star Week festivities, beginning on July 11 and culminating with the 95th MLB All-Star Game at Truist Park on July 15, Major League Baseball, in partnership with the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Braves Foundation, announced on Wednesday over $4 million in 2025 All-Star Legacy initiatives benefiting the Atlanta metro area.
“The mission of the Atlanta Braves Foundation is to build community through baseball, and we want the legacy of All-Star Week in Atlanta to leave an impact on this community that can extend for generations,” said Danielle Bedasse, vice president of community affairs and executive director of the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
“Working with Major League Baseball and our incredible corporate and community partners, we want to invest in projects across the Metro Atlanta area that reflect our organization’s heart for service and the desire to increase access to our sport, provide for the underserved in our community and meet the needs of those who protect us all.”
Also funded in part by the Jackie Robinson Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Stand Up To Cancer, 2025 All-Star Legacy Projects will include:

Further community efforts and youth-focused programs and events taking place as part of All-Star Week festivities will be announced at a later date. MLB, in conjunction with the Atlanta Track Club, previously unveiled plans for the 2025 MLB All-Star 4.4 Miler, a charity run in honor of Hall of Famer and longtime Brave Hank Aaron, who passed away in 2021.
“Partnering with the Atlanta Braves for the 2025 All-Star Legacy initiative is more than a collaboration -- it’s a shared commitment to helping local communities through access and innovation,” said April Brown, senior vice president of social responsibility, Major League Baseball. “This year’s Legacy initiative reflects the core values of MLB Together, delivering enduring impact through strategic investments in youth empowerment, veteran support and inclusive programming -- while honoring the Braves’ deep-rooted dedication to the greater Atlanta community.”
Since its inception in 1997, Major League Baseball and All-Star host clubs have contributed nearly $120 million to local communities through the All-Star Legacy initiative.
