Here are Wednesday's top prospect performances from the Minors

June 5th, 2025

A day that began with a tremendous pitching performance from a Top 100 prospect ventured into the offensive side of things as the night wore on. A Rangers outfielder made like a runaway train, riding it all the way to a cycle during a career-best performance while a Padres prospect recorded high-fives all the way around in the Single-A California League. That and much more on a busy midweek slate around the Minors.

Kyle Teel, C, Charlotte (CWS No. 2/MLB No. 28)
Teel continued to pound the baseball for Triple-A Charlotte, tallying his 10th double as part of his fourth three-hit performance of the season. The 23-year-old added an RBI single and scored a run, lifting his average to .295 and his OPS to .886. Teel's strong May (.333/.444/.613) was buoyed by a 19-game hitting streak that began in late April and lasted nearly a month. The New Jersey native has hit safely in 25 of 28 games since April 26, the day his hitting streak began. Gameday

Lazaro Montes, OF, Everett (SEA No. 2/MLB No. 36)
Make it consecutive games with roundtrippers for Montes, who sits atop the High-A Northwest League leaderboard in several offensive categories, including homers (13), RBIs (37), slugging (.581) and OPS (.976). The 20-year-old has hit safely in five of his past six games and is slashing .283/.385/.591 with 27 extra-base hits in 51 games. Gameday

Jonah Tong, RHP, Binghamton (NYM No. 4/MLB No. 99)
Tong's brilliant sophomore season took another leap forward with his latest dazzling performance for Double-A Binghamton. The 21-year-old twirled five hitless frames and struck out 11, including the final four batters he faced, capping a stretch of 11 consecutive outs to end his outing. The native of Ontario, Canada, is holding opponents to a .137 average and sports a 2.02 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP and has 83 strikeouts in 49 innings across 10 starts. Full story | Gameday

Dustin Harris, OF, Round Rock (Unranked)
Harris' ninth-inning three-run homer put a capper on a career night for the 25-year-old, who became the first player for Triple-A Round Rock to hit for the cycle since 2021. The Rangers outfielder did all of his damage from the fourth inning on after striking out in his first two at-bats, and he wrapped up the milestone with his first homer of the season. It was the second time in two weeks Harris drove in at least five runs after he equaled a career high with six RBIs on May 23. Gameday

Orelvis Martinez, 2B/3B, Buffalo (TOR No. 3)
A season that began rather poorly for Martinez has begun to bear some fruit after a solid May. One day after he slugged a pair of solo homers, the Dominican Republic native cleared the fences again in his second consecutive multihit effort. Martinez is up to eight homers, 21 RBIs and a .743 OPS in 48 games for Triple-A Buffalo. Gameday

Miguel Ullola, RHP, Sugar Land (HOU No. 4)
One of the hottest pitchers in the Minors since the calendar flipped to May, Ullola continued his run of dominance with five one-hit frames for Triple-A Sugar Land. The 22-year-old struck out seven and did not allow a run for the fourth time in six starts. Ullola has yielded just three runs on 15 hits and fanned 41 across 28 innings in that span to lower his ERA from 9.00 to 3.08. Gameday

Lamar King Jr., C, Lake Elsinore (SD No. 29)
King extended his hitting streak to five games in spectacular fashion, hammering a career-high five hits, driving in two runs and swiping a base. The 21-year-old raised his average 23 points to .274, the highest it's been since May 6. King has 12 doubles, four homers and 27 RBIs in 43 games for Single-A Lake Elsinore. Gameday
