Black Heritage Day at Oracle Park: Community performances, festivities and jersey

Join the Giants in celebration of Black heritage in baseball and Bay Area Black communities on Saturday, August 30 at Oracle Park. Enjoy special performances and pregame festivities. Plus, the first 15,000 fans receive a Black Heritage Jersey, presented by Cutwater.

  • Promotional Item: Black Heritage Jersey presented by Cutwater. First 15,000 fans.
  • Gates Open: Ballpark gates open at 2:15 p.m.
  • Pregame Timeline: The “Say Hey” pregame show with Therese & Anthony will begin at 3:15 p.m. and provide a great preview of the game and festivities of Black Heritage Day. Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats to catch the on-field festivities beginning at 3:45 p.m
  • Game Time: 4:15 p.m. versus the Baltimore Orioles
  • Flag Raising: Black Excellence, the professional network of Black employees of the San Francisco Giants
  • First Pitch: Garvin Alston, San Francisco Giants Bullpen Coach
  • National Anthem: Jabarri Robertson, Nurse Practitioner of General Surgery at UCSF Health
  • Community Spotlight: The Players Alliance - The Players Alliance is founded by current and former professional baseball players and aims to address baseball’s systemic barriers to equity & inclusion by creating pathways to opportunities on and off the field for an undeniable pipeline of Black talent.
