Roscoe Mapps (he/him) is in his tenth season with the San Francisco Giants, where he serves as Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. With over 25 years of experience spanning political campaigns, talent strategy, and civic coalition-building, he leads efforts to embed equity, representation, and belonging across the organization.
Roscoe first joined the Giants after managing the club’s successful 2015 Mission Rock campaign, which earned 74% voter approval — the highest in San Francisco history for a private development project. He helped shape inclusive commitments at the project’s core, including 40% below-market-rate housing, a $1 million construction workforce training program, and small business equity in contracting.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Roscoe began his career as part of a Fortune 500 talent strategy team, contributing to enterprise hiring and workforce planning before transitioning into public affairs and advocacy work. He has served on the boards of the San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR), the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and Bayview Hunters Point YMCA. He received the Bayard Rustin Award for Community Engagement and was named to the Outsports Power 100 list of influential figures in sports.
