Status: Tovar is making minimal progress according to manager Bud Black and is running, hitting and playing catch, although he is experiencing some discomfort running. (updated May 1)
RHP Ryan Feltner
Injury: Lower back soreness
Expected return: TBD
Status: The right-hander is likely to miss his scheduled start Saturday due to back spasms. Feltner played catch Thursday and is still feeling discomfort in his back. (updated May 1)
INF/OF Kris Bryant
Injury: Lumbar degenerative disc disease
IL date: April 14 (10-day IL, retroactive to April 13)

Status: Continuing to get through a series of tests after meeting with a back specialist earlier in the week. Manager Bud Black made it clear there is no talk of shutting Bryant down for the season. (updated May 1)
