A key member of the Phillies Community Outreach department, Michele oversees many of the team’s community and charity initiatives.
Michele has played an instrumental role in numerous Phillies charitable programs and initiatives, many of which have received national attention including Tugger, the Phillies' service pup-in-training for a veteran with a disability, Pediatric Cancer Awareness Night presented by Nemours providing experiences for children battling cancer, and the team's Lou Gehrig’s Day presented by Asplundh aimed at bringing awareness to the always fatal ALS disease.
She is also involved with the group that assists with player community efforts at the ballpark, working with such players as Kyle Schwarber for his Neighborhood Heroes program, Trea Turner and his support for the V Foundation, and more.
Michele is also the driving force behind the team’s Season and Summer of Giving initiatives, which includes volunteerism efforts for the entire front office, and was responsible for bringing the popular 50/50 drawing to the ballpark.
A 25+year veteran with the club, Michele joined the Phillies organization as an intern in 1999 while she was a junior at LaSalle University. After graduating with her bachelor's degree in marketing, Michele has had various roles with the Phillies including working in season ticket and group sales, as well as being involved with the closing ceremonies of Veterans Stadium and orchestration of the 2008 World Series Championship parade.
Michele also has a master's in education from La Salle University and serves on the board for Phillies Charities, Inc., as well as various advisory boards in the military/veteran and childhood cancer awareness communities.
