Expected return: Likely 2026
Status: Underwent surgery to repair a fractured left ankle and ligament damage May 15. Manager Aaron Boone: “probably unlikely” Cabrera will return this season. On June 5, Cabrera said recovery is going well; using scooter and protective boot. Has not ruled out returning this year. (updated June 19) More >>

Injury: Right elbow ligament tear
IL date: March 22 (60-day)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery on March 11 in Los Angeles. The procedure, performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, was a complete UCL reconstruction that also included an internal brace. Cole said May 5 he expects to resume playing catch in August and is planning on a 14-month recovery from the date of surgery. (updated May 6) More >>
