Duno, Sikkema Earn Reds' MiLB Player and Pitcher of the Month Honors
Reds No. 3 prospect catcher Alfredo Duno and left-handed pitcher T.J. Sikkema picked up MiLB Player and Pitcher of the Month nods from the Reds' organization for their efforts in August.
Duno is no newcomer to the acclaim, as the 19-year-old has earned the Reds' Minor League Player of the Month in June while also being named the Florida State League Player of the Month for August as well. Through the month, Duno played in 25 games for the Daytona Tortugas, picking up 27 hits for eight doubles, seven homeruns and 25 RBIs behind a .338 average and a 1.190 OPS.
Sikkema's August pitching honors were highlighted by his four mound starts with both Double-A Chattanooga and Triple-A Louisville. The southpaw picked up 20 innings pitched through his starts, managing a 0.90 ERA with 13 strikeouts. The 38th overall pick in the 2019 draft only conceded 12 hits, 3 balls batted and two earned runs through the entirety of August.

Duno's season with the Tortugas was chalked full of acclaim, as he received multiple FSL Player of the Week nods, an FSL Player of the Month award in August and played in the All-Star Futures game back in July.
Triple-A Louisville
The Louisville Bats wrapped their final series of the 2025 season, culminating in a final record of 39-36 with a fourth place finish in the International League West standings.
Throughout the campaign, many of Louisville's hitters found success. Edwin Rios and Rece Hinds led the way, both notching 20+ home runs while Rios picked up 94 RBIs and Hinds had 83.
