What’s Happening This Week at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Mariners, August 18-20

The Phillies are back for another homestand at Citizens Bank Park, starting with a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights surrounding this week’s games:

  1. Join the Phillies in celebrating Oktoberfest as the series begins on Monday, August 18, at 6:45 p.m. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.

    • Fans can enjoy a performance from Polkadelphia in the Third Base Plaza.
    • As part of Phillies RBI All-Star Recognition Night presented by Richman’s Ice Cream & Nike, Phillies RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities) junior baseball, senior baseball and 18u softball teams will be honored on-field. Plus, the Phillies Jr. RBI program will be recognized, sponsored by Citizens.
  2. Calling all witches, wizards and muggles to the ballpark for Harry Potter™ Night on Tuesday, August 19, at the 6:45 p.m. game! Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.

    • Be on the lookout for Harry Potter™ themed activities with the Brandywine School of Wizardry throughout the ballpark, including potion making at The Break behind Section 210, Quidditch games at The Yard and Quaffle Toss at the First Base Plaza.
    • Before the game, the team will host a Strike Out the Stigma session presented by GHOST®, focused on the topic of Empowering Youth Athletes, with St. Joseph’s University men’s basketball legends including Philadelphia Sports Hall of Famer Phil Martelli and former NBA All-Star Jameer Nelson.
    • GHOST® Energy will have free samples at the Third Base Plaza.
  3. The series concludes on Wednesday, August 20, with the 1:05 p.m. game. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 11:05 a.m.; all other gates 11:35 a.m.

    • Before the game, Telesystem Chief Revenue Officer Bruce Wirt will present a $10,000 donation to Phillies Charities, Inc.
    • The national anthem will be performed by Aidan Peterson, an 18-year-old classical and jazz trumpeter from Ardmore, PA.
    • As part of the Citizens Businesspersons Special, Citizens customers score perks for banking with the home team by getting 10% off concessions when paying with a Citizens debit or credit card.
    • At the end of the 3rd inning, 100-year-old WWII veteran Albert Godlewski will be honored on-field as the day’s Hometown Hero presented by Toyota.
    • Comedian and Philadelphia native Ed Bassmaster will perform with the Phanatic at the end of the 5th inning.
  4. Fans are invited to bid on team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia items as part of the Phillies Charities Online Auction to benefit the Pennsylvania SPCA until 6:00 p.m. on August 31, at com/auctions.

    • Features signed memorabilia from Phillies players including Alec Bohm, Nick Castellanos, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, J.T. Realmuto, Cristopher Sánchez, Kyle Schwarber, Edmundo Sosa, Bryson Stott, Ranger Suárez, Trea Turner and Zack Wheeler.
  5. For this series only, Liberty Kitchen, South Kensington & Fishtown’s locally-focused deli & market, is offering its Kale Caesar Cutlet Sandwich at Coca-Cola Corner.

    • Paired with a 20oz. Smartwater, this signature sandwich includes breaded chicken cutlets, kale, pecorino, crispy onions and house Caesar dressing.
