RED SOX ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES 

BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today announced the following roster moves:

Lowe, 30, has played in 119 games this season for the Washington Nationals, making 113 starts at first base and three as the designated hitter while batting .216 (95-for-440) with 50 runs scored, 17 doubles, two triples, 16 home runs, and 68 RBI. Originally selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 13th round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, the Virginia native was a World Series Champion with the Texas Rangers in 2023, while also winning a Gold Glove Award. In 2022, he won a Silver Slugger Award and was named Rangers Player of the Year by the Texas Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America. The left-handed hitter has played in 805 career Major League games with the Rays (2019-20), Rangers (2021-24), and Nationals (2025), batting .263 (768-for-2,918) with a .346 on-base percentage, .770 OPS, 131 doubles, 105 home runs, and 397 RBI.

Refsnyder, 34, has hit .272 (37-for-136) with an .828 OPS, nine doubles, six home runs, and 22 RBI in 54 games this season. The right-handed hitter has made 16 starts in right field, 12 as the designated hitter, and eight in left field. Originally selected by the New York Yankees in the fifth round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, the South Korea native has batted .255 (331-for-1,299) in 525 career Major League games with the Yankees (2015-17), Toronto Blue Jays (2017), Tampa Bay Rays (2018), Texas Rangers (2020), Minnesota Twins (2021), and Red Sox (2022-25).

Eaton, 28, has played in 14 games for Boston this season, batting .250 (6-for-24) and making eight starts at third base. In 94 games for Worcester, the right-handed hitter has batted .290 (101-for-348) with an .856 OPS while making starts at third base (30 games), center field (27 games), right field (16 games), shortstop (10 games), left field (six games), and second base (one game). Selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 21st round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft, the Virginia native has hit .208 (38-for-183) with 17 stolen bases in 86 career Major League games with the Royals (2022-23) and Red Sox (2025).

Sánchez, 28, was claimed off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays on August 8 and appeared in one game for Boston. Originally signed by the New York Mets as an international free agent on July 2, 2013, the Venezuela native has played in 47 career Major League games with the Mets (2020), St. Louis Cardinals (2021), Miami Marlins (2024), Blue Jays (2025), and Red Sox (2025).
