Top local colleges to compete in Phillies’ Bill Giles Invitational & Liberty Bell Classic Baseball Tournaments, starting this weekend

Get ready for some exciting play as top local college baseball teams compete in the 23rd annual Bill Giles Invitational for Division II players (March 22 & March 24) and 32nd annual Liberty Bell Classic for Division I players (March 25 & April 1), with games played at each home college.

The top two college teams from each tournament will then get the chance to play their championship games at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies, on Tuesday, April 8.

“The Bill Giles and Liberty Bell Classic tournaments were created to give baseball players from local Division I and II colleges the chance to compete on a major league field,” said Phillies Director of Youth Baseball & Softball Development Jon Joaquin. “We wish all our college baseball programs the best of luck as they battle for the championship titles.”
