This Weekend at Citizens Bank Park: Phillies vs. Diamondbacks, May 2-4
Come cheer on the Phils as they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks, May 2-4! Here’s a look at the fan highlights surrounding this weekend at Citizens Bank Park:
1. The series begins on Friday, May 2, with another Lights Up // Friday Night at the Bank at 6:45 p.m. Plus, it’s Teacher Appreciation Night powered by Constellation Energy! Gate openings: 3B/LF – 4:45 p.m.; all other gates 5:15 p.m.
- Before the game, ten All-Star Teachers from local schools, selected from hundreds of current and former student, parent and peer nominations, will be honored on-field. Each teacher earned a $1,000 donation to their school on behalf of Constellation Energy.
- Plus, Constellation Energy will present a $5,000 donation before the game to Phillies Charities, Inc.
- As part of the night, a collection for school supplies will be held at the entrance gates (1B, 3B and LF) to benefit Cradles to Crayons.
- Prior to the first pitch, Miller Lite 12 oz. cans will be available at Miller Lite Liberty Landing for $6.99.
- At the end of the 3rd inning, Airman First Class David Borota will be honored as that night’s Hometown Hero presented by Toyota.
2. Before the 6:05 p.m. game on Saturday, May 3, all children 14 and under will receive an Independence Blue Cross Aaron Nola Replica Jersey. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 3:35 p.m.; all other gates 4:35 p.m.
- Before the game, this year’s Phillies Phantasy Camp participants will be introduced on-field.
- Plus, fans can enjoy the pregame Budweiser Block Party with DJ HBK at the Budweiser Batter’s Eye Bar behind Section 148.
3. On Sunday, May 4, at 2:05 p.m., it’s Mother’s Appreciation Day presented by Valley Forge & Montgomery County! All women 15 and over will receive a Ladies Puffer Vest before the game. Plus, Phillies Wives who are mothers will be honored with a special moment during pregame ceremonies. Gate openings: 3B/LF – 11:35 a.m.; all other gates 12:35 p.m.
- Sports Complex Traffic Awareness: Please be aware that the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run will be taking place on Sunday morning and there will be extra traffic in the sports complex area. Fans arriving at the ballpark before noon for Sunday’s 2:05 p.m. game are urged to take public transportation; motorists traveling to the game at this time should avoid Broad Street, as well as Broad Street exits from I-76 and I-95, until 12:00 p.m. Broad Street is expected to reopen by noon. - Kids can enjoy complimentary face painting at The Yard before and during the game.
- At the end of the 3rd inning, Command Sergeant Major Michael R. Weatherholt will be honored as that day’s Hometown Hero presented by Toyota.
