Minnesota Twins Homestand Highlights: April 11-16

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins return to downtown Minneapolis for their second homestand of the 2025 season, a six-game stay against an American League Central foe and a National League opponent. First, the Twins welcome the Detroit Tigers for three games from tonight, Friday, April 11 to Sunday, April 13. When the Tigers depart, Minnesota will host Juan Soto and the New York Mets to Target Field for three games from Monday, April 14 to Wednesday, April 16.

CITY CONNECT FRIDAY

The Twins will wear their Nike City Connect uniforms for the first time this season tomorrow night, Friday, April 11 against Detroit. Minnesota is slated to wear the City Connects for every Friday home game this season. For more information on the Twins’ City Connects, visit twins.com/cityconnect.

TARGET FIELD IM-MAUER-TALITY

On Sunday, April 13 at 11:30 a.m., the Twins will formally unveil and dedicate a statue outside Target Field honoring the career and legacy of St. Paul native, franchise legend and 2024 National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Joe Mauer. The unveiling will take place on Target Plaza, outside Gate 34 heading toward 6th Street and 1st Avenue. The following are also scheduled to attend: Justin Morneau (longtime teammate and Twins Hall of Famer), Tom Kelly (Twins Hall of Famer who also has a Target Field statue in his honor), Paul Molitor (fellow St. Paul native and National Baseball Hall of Famer, along with Joe’s final Twins manager), Corey Koskie (teammate and Twins Hall of Fame electee), Glen Perkins (fellow Minnesota native and former teammate) and Bill Mack (the Minnesota-based artist who has crafted each Target Field statue). Mauer will be available for media interviews following the ceremony. On Sunday, fans already through the gates who wish to attend the statue unveiling and dedication will be permitted to re-enter Target Field.

FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO THE BIG LEAGUES

On Saturday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 16, Target Field will host the first three of six regular season high school baseball games presented by TRIA Orthopedics, following the conclusion of each respective day’s Twins game. Saturday’s contest will feature Byron vs. Stewartville and Wednesday’s will be a doubleheader of Lakeville North vs. Lakeville South and Highland Park vs. St. Paul Academy/Summit School. The six regular season prep games match the 2024 total for the most at Target Field in a single season in the ballpark’s 16-year history, each of the six games will feature a public address announcer and Target Field’s full assortment of videoboards and LED screens. Additionally, on Saturday, April 12, the Twins will be the presenting sponsor for a high school softball game between Como Park and Washburn, held at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus.

The Friday, April 11 game against the Detroit Tigers will be broadcast exclusively on Apple TV+ as part of Major League Baseball’s “Friday Night Baseball” package on the streaming provider. The Tuesday, April 15 game against the New York Mets will be carried via over-the-air television on FOX 9 and select Gray Media affiliates, along with Twins.TV cable and satellite providers and direct-to-consumer streaming platform.
