Phillies Reach 3 Million in Total Attendance at Citizens Bank Park for Third Consecutive Season
Tonight, the Phillies reached 3 million in total attendance at Citizens Bank Park for the third consecutive season. The milestone was reached during the final game in the series against the New York Mets.
“The energy, excitement and support that our passionate fans bring to every game has undoubtedly played a big part in the Phillies’ having the best home record in all of Major League Baseball,” said Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations John Weber. “We are honored to have hosted 3 million fans for the third consecutive year at Citizens Bank Park.”
Before the game, the Phillies surprised AJ Wade (Abington, PA) as the team’s honorary 3 millionth fan. AJ, who was at the game to celebrate his 13th birthday with his parents, Jamie and Dan, and friend Sam Wolf, had his group’s seats upgraded to the CP Rankin Club.
Special guests taking part in the surprise included Phillies broadcaster Tom McCarthy, 2008 World Series champion coach and 1993 National League champion Milt Thompson and 1980 World Series champion Dickie Noles, along with the Phillies Ballgirls.
In the 4th inning, Phillies Managing Partner and CEO John Middleton and the Phillie Phanatic added to the surprise, presenting tickets to the team’s upcoming Fan Appreciation Day on September 28 and the 2026 Phillies Home Opener on March 26.
The Phillies rank fourth among all clubs in baseball this year in home attendance with an average of 41,888 per game. Of the 71 games at Citizens Bank Park this year, 60 have had crowds of over 40,000 fans.
