D-backs Trade Shelby Miller and Jordan Montgomery to Brewers for Player To Be Named or Cash Considerations

The Arizona Diamondbacks traded RHP Shelby Miller and LHP Jordan Montgomery to the Milwaukee Brewers for a player to be named or cash considerations. The D-backs’ 40-man roster is at 38.

Shelby Miller, 34, made 37 relief appearances this season and went 3-3 with a career-high 10 saves, a 1.98 ERA (11 R-8 ER in 36.1 IP), an opponent .190 AVG (24-for-126)/.551 OPS, 0.96 WHIP, 11 walks and 40 strikeouts.

• Was his second stint with the D-backs (2016-18).

Jordan Montgomery, 32, played 2 seasons (2024-25) for the D-backs.

• Did not pitch this season after being placed on the 60-Day Injured List on March 26 with a sprained left ulnar collateral ligament.
• In 2024, appeared in 25 games (21 starts) and went 8-7 with 1 save and a 6.23 ERA (83 R-81 ER in 117.0 IP).
