Atlanta Whataburger becoming Wittaburger in promo with All-Star shortstop

ATLANTA – As The Battery in Atlanta transforms into All-Star Central over the next few days, a nearby Whataburger is getting in on the action – featuring two-time All-Star Bobby Witt Jr.

Through Wednesday, the Whataburger at 2955 Cobb Parkway in Atlanta – around the corner from The Battery and Truist Park – will be transformed into a “Wittaburger,” complete with outdoor signage, window decals and a cardboard cutout of Witt inside the restaurant for photo opportunities.

An updated menu board features Witt’s go-to order, the Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger. Guests can also order the #7 Wittaburger Jr. as a standalone burger or a Whatameal that comes with a burger, fries and a drink.

A native Texan, Witt is a self-proclaimed superfan of Whataburger with fond memories of gathering at the burger spot with teammates and friends while he was starring at Colleyville Heritage High School in Colleyville, Texas.

Witt became an official brand ambassador of Whataburger in 2024, right before his first career All-Star and epic Home Run Derby performance back in his hometown at Globe Life Field. Witt went on to finish second in American League Most Valuable Player voting in 2024 and led the Royals back to the postseason for the first time in nine years.

In 2025, Witt’s spot on the AL All-Star squad is well-deserved, as he entered Friday slashing .295/.346/.501 with 13 homers, 25 stolen bases and a Major League-leading 31 doubles. He’s the second player in Major League history to record at least 25 doubles and 25 steals in each of his first four seasons, joining Darby O’Brien, who did it from 1887-90.

When Witt and his wife, Maggie, got married this past offseason, Whataburger constructed a pop-up Wittaburger tent for guests at the reception – a hit with several of Witt’s Royals teammates who were there.

Now Wittaburger is taking over Atlanta.
