It was a fairly balanced slate around the Minors with some top-notch pitching performances -- highlighted by 2024 first-rounder Chase Burns -- as well as a second straight monster game from Colt Emerson. Hurlers Quinn Mathews and Robby Snelling made notable starts and Kyle Freeland left the yard for a second consecutive game.

Chase Burns, RHP, Louisville (CIN No. 1/MLB No. 11)
It was more of the same from Burns, who seems to have had little to no trouble adjusting to life as a pro after a standout collegiate career at Wake Forest. Last year's second overall Draft pick equaled a season and professional high by twirling seven frames, allowing a run on three hits. Burns fanned seven during his 88-pitch outing and has 20 K's in 12 1/3 innings through two Triple-A starts. Gameday

Colt Emerson, SS/3B, Everett (SEA No. 1/MLB No. 17)
Emerson went deep for the second straight game and followed up a three extra-base hit performance by adding two more during a career-high four-hit night for High-A Everett. The 19-year-old has hit safely in nine of his past 10 games and is batting .333 this month after posting a .246 average through May. The hot streak has raised Emerson's OPS to .796 in 60 games. Quinn Mathews, LHP, Memphis (STL No. 2/MLB No. 36)
Mathews took another step toward the Majors with his latest strong performance for Triple-A Memphis. The southpaw surrendered a second-inning single and a pair of walks over five scoreless innings while equaling a season high with six strikeouts. Mathews missed more than a month with left shoulder soreness but has looked strong this month, posting a 1.38 ERA and a 17-to-6 K/BB ratio across three starts spanning 13 innings. Gameday

Alex Freeland, SS/3B, Oklahoma City (LAD No. 4/MLB No. 44)
Freeland left the yard for the second consecutive day, slugging his 10th roundtripper of the year, more than halfway to the career-high 18 homers he hit last year in 136 games. After a slow start to begin the month, the 23-year-old has gone 10-for-21 (.476) with three long balls, nine RBIs and eight walks during a six-game hitting streak. Freeland is slashing .276/.393/.470 with 55 RBIs in 69 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Gameday

Thayron Liranzo, C/1B, Erie (DET No. 5/MLB No. 81)
As the weather warms so too has Liranzo, who put together his best game of the season for Double-A Erie. The switch-hitting backstop clubbed a three-run homer, doubled and walked three times en route to hitting safely for the fifth time in six games. Liranzo has matched his home run total (three) from last month and has already driven in more runs (11) than he did in May (eight). Gameday

Robby Snelling, LHP, Pensacola (MIA No. 3/MLB No. 89)
Snelling wasn't still in the game for the extra-inning win, but the southpaw did his part with one of his best efforts of the season. The Nevada native allowed one run while striking out seven over six innings for Double-A Pensacola. Snelling took a shutout into the sixth before surrendering a run-scoring double with two outs. The 21-year-old sports a 4.18 ERA and 70 punchouts in 60 1/3 innings across 12 starts. Gameday

Christian Zazueta, RHP, Rancho Cucamonga (LAD No. 19)
Zazueta's breakout campaign rolled on with a career-high 10 strikeouts over five scoreless frames for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. The 20-year-old allowed a two-out double in the second inning and nothing else during his 61-pitch outing, which included 16 whiffs on 35 swings. Zazueta sports a 2.37 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP and a 69-to-14 K/BB ratio in 60 2/3 innings. Gameday
