Injury: Left elbow nerve irritation

Expected return: August
Status: Began rehab assignment on July 26. In latest outing on July 29, threw two scoreless innings. Scheduled to make next appearance Aug. 2 and go at least two innings. (updated: Aug. 1)
RHP Michael Lorenzen
Injury: Left oblique strain
IL date: July 14 (15-day IL, retroactive to July 11)
Expected return: August
Status: Threw a five-up live BP session on July 31 at Kauffman Stadium. Next outing will be a rehab assignment, likely sometime during week of Aug. 4. (updated: Aug. 1)
RF Jac Caglianone
Injury: Left hamstring strain
IL date: July 27 (10-day IL)
Expected return: Mid-August
Status: Has been able to hit (including live at-bats against Michael Lorenzen on July 31) and throw, but has not yet introduced running into rehab program. (updated: Aug. 1) More >>

Injury: Left rotator cuff strain
IL date: June 11 (retroactive to June 8); transferred to 60-day IL on July 8
Expected return: Late August

LHP Kris Bubic
Injury: Left rotator cuff strain
IL date: July 27; transferred to 60-day IL on July 31
Expected return: 2026
Status: Shut down for remainder of 2025 season with left rotator cuff strain. Injury will not require surgery, but he needs extended rest. Expects normal offseason. (last updated: July 31) More >>

Injury: Left elbow epicondylitis

Expected return: August
Status: Received injection July 8 to help elbow soreness. Began throwing after All-Star break and hit for the first time on July 28. (updated: July 28)
2B Michael Massey
Injury: Left ankle sprain, right wrist injury
IL date: June 10 (retroactive to June 8)
Expected return: Early August
Status: Rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Omaha on July 22, where he'll play almost every day to get timing back. (updated: July 25)
RHP Alec Marsh
Injury: Right shoulder soreness
IL date: March 24; transferred to 60-day IL on May 2

RHP James McArthur
Injury: Right elbow surgery
IL date: March 24; transferred to 60-day IL on May 1
Expected return: TBD
Status: Suffered setback in July when he underwent another procedure to remove the second screw that was put in during offseason elbow surgery. Both screws that were put in to help fix an olecranon fracture have been removed. Still undergoing tests to determine next steps. (updated: July 18)
