Injury: Fractured left wrist
IL date: Aug. 1 (10-day IL)
Expected return: Possibly late August or September
Status: Collided with Giancarlo Stanton at first base on July 31. X-rays revealed the fracture. He will need to go at least three weeks without activity but is hopeful to return in 2025. (updated Aug. 1) More >>

Injury: Left index finger sprain
Expected return: TBD
Status: After grounding out to end the top of the third on July 31, took the outfield in pain in the bottom of the frame. Exited the game after a visit from manager Kevin Cash and the athletic trainer. (updated July 31) More >>

OF/INF Richie Palacios
Injury: Right knee sprain
IL date: April 18 (transferred to 60-day IL on July 10)
Expected return: TBD
Status: Has been pulled off rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham due to right hamstring tightness as of July 30. Team is evaluating how long Palacios will need to remain out. (updated July 30)
LHP Shane McClanahan
Injury: Left triceps nerve irritation/biceps tendinitis
IL date: March 26 (transferred to 60-day IL on April 26)
Expected return: TBD
Status: Played catch from 60 feet on July 28 and "felt OK, nothing great," per manager Kevin Cash. Had pulled back from rehab due to soreness in his left biceps following a 10-pitch bullpen on July 21. (updated July 28) More >>
RHP Manuel Rodriguez
Injury: Right forearm strain, elbow soreness
IL date: June 11 (retroactive to June 10, transferred to 60-day IL on July 22)
Expected return: 2026 or '27
Status: Pulled off rehab assignment July 12 and returned to Tampa for testing. Will undergo UCL surgery on Aug. 8, as announced by Rays manager Kevin Cash. (updated July 26) More >>
OF Stuart Fairchild
Injury: Right oblique strain
IL date: July 23 (10-day IL, retroactive to July 22)
Expected return: TBD
Status: The same day he was acquired from the Braves, Fairchild injured his oblique while swinging in the Rays' indoor batting cage. He reported discomfort after the game and didn't improve on July 23, leading to his placement on the IL. (updated July 23)
RHP Hunter Bigge
Injury: Right lat strain, facial fractures
IL date: May 2 (transferred to 60-day IL on July 17)
Expected return: Possibly this season
Status: Underwent facial surgery June 20 and was released from hospital June 21. Return this season has not been ruled out. Could resume throwing the week of July 21. (updated July 21) More >>
LHP Nate Lavender
Injury: Left elbow surgery (internal brace)
IL date: Feb. 12 (60-day IL)
Expected return: Possibly August
Status: As of July 18 update, the Rule 5 Draft selection experienced some soreness that prompted a follow-up visit with Dr. Keith Meister. (updated July 18) More >>

Injury: Right shoulder inflammation
IL date: March 24 (transferred to 60-day IL on April 18)
Expected return: Late July
Status: Started rehab assignment with Rookie-level FCL Rays June 27. Transferred rehab assignment to Triple-A Durham and has allowed three runs in 7 1/3 innings over five appearances. (updated July 17)
