Here are Giants' Draft picks from Day 2

A clear theme emerged for the Giants at the top of the 2025 MLB Draft.

After taking Tennessee shortstop Gavin Kilen in the first round and Rutgers outfielder Trevor Cohen in the third round on Sunday, the Giants showed their affinity for contact-oriented hitters who can play premium positions up the middle when the Draft resumed on Monday.

“We like living in the middle of the diamond,” senior director of amateur scouting Michael Holmes said Sunday. “We like guys that make elite contact. … It’s the type of player that we are attracted to.”

The Giants continued to prioritize those skills at the outset of Day 2. Here’s a breakdown of all of the club’s picks from Rounds 4-20 (San Francisco sacrificed its second- and fifth-round selections after signing qualified free agent Willy Adames over the offseason):
