Always leading by example, Alex Gordon was the epitome of perseverance and commitment which made him both a great teammate and a complete player. The 2011 Royals Player of the Year tied a club record winning eight career Gold Glove Awards along with two Platinum Glove Awards. His ninth inning game tying home run in Game One of the 2015 World Series will always be a seminal moment in club history. Gordon was named an American League All-Star three times and ended his career in the Royals top ten in hits (1,643), doubles (357), home runs (190), runs scored (867), RBI (749), total bases (2,622), and games played (1,753).
