CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Rob Gagliardi enters his 19th season in the Rays organization. He was appointed chief financial officer in 2015 after serving six years as Vice President, Finance. Gagliardi oversees all accounting and finance operations in the Rays organization, including reporting, planning, budgeting, payroll and treasury management. In addition, Gagliardi oversees the business operations of the Rays’ Dominican Republic player development academy. He has been instrumental in the renovation and expansion of the academy, which started in 2023. Before joining the Rays in August 2007, Gagliardi worked more than 15 years for industry leaders Comcast and Ernst & Young. His last role at Comcast was vice president of finance for their Maryland, Delaware and Richmond region. Prior to Comcast, he worked for more than seven years at Ernst & Young’s Philadelphia Office, where he left as a senior manager in their assurance and advisory business services group. Gagliardi serves as a trustee on MLB’s Non-Uniformed Personnel Pension Plan Committee and as a Governance Board Member for the Tampa Metro YMCA. A Philadelphia native and a certified public accountant, Gagliardi earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University. He was a 2017 finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s CFO of the Year award. Rob and his wife, Gabby, reside in Tampa with their two children, Isabella and Max.
