VICE PRESIDENT OF BASEBALL PROCESS & STRATEGY
Hamilton Marx enters his 11th season with the Rays and first as vice president, baseball process and strategy. He spent the last four years (2021-24) as director of baseball operations. Among a variety of duties, he focuses on all areas of player acquisition and roster planning, coordinating with research and development, scouting and player development. He also leads the Rays efforts in contractual matters and salary arbitration. These have been areas of concentration since he joined the Rays as a baseball operations intern in 2015. Prior to his promotion, Marx spent the previous three seasons working in amateur scouting, including the last two as assistant director. The Midland, Texas native earned a bachelor’s in business administration from Notre Dame, spent four years as a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dallas and earned his MBA from Duke University. He also spent a summer interning in the MLB Labor Relations department. He and his wife, Maggie, live in Parrish with their daughters, Adeline and Maren.
