Willie Joseph MacIver…graduated from College Park (Calif.) High School…played three seasons at the University of Washington where he earned his bachelor’s degree in communications… earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention as a sophomore in 2017 and was voted Most Improved Player by teammates.

2024

Spent the entire season at Triple-A Albuquerque and hit .297 with 19 doubles, five triples, 15 home runs, 56 RBI and a .911 OPS in 89 games...Added 37 walks and was hit by a pitch nine times for a .381 on-base percentage...The catcher stole nine bases, which was the first time he did not reach double figures in steals since 2018...Had career highs in batting, slugging (.530), OPS and triples and matched his best in home runs...Tied for fifth in the Rockies farm system in extra base hits (39) and tied for seventh in home runs...His batting average broke down to .333 (25-for-75) with a 1.062 OPS against left-handed pitchers compared to .285 (69-for-242) with a .864 OPS against right-handers…hit six home runs in 75 at bats against lefties (12.5 at bats per home run), nine in 242 at bats against righties (26.9 at bats per home run)...Connected for 10 of his 15 home runs on the road…10 were solo shots, seven came with two strikes and six were hit in the sixth inning...Was 1-for-9 (.111) with a walk and five RBI with the bases loaded...Batted .329 with five home runs in 19 day games, .287 with 10 home runs in 70 contests at night...Started 64 games at catcher and 22 at designated hitter…also appeared in one game at first base…committed five errors as a catcher for a .991 fielding percentage…opponents were successful in 68-of-88 (77.3%) stolen base attempts with him behind the plate...Batted .335 with 14 of his 15 home runs as a catcher, .205 as the designated hitter…was also 0-for-2 with a strikeout as a pinch hitter...Started games at every spot in the order except first and second…saw his most action with 44 starts batting sixth.

2023

Began the season with the ACL Rockies due to injury…slashed .359/.537/.513 before joining Triple-A Albuquerque on July 2...With the Isotopes, slashed .252/.383/.393 (41-for-163) with 10 doubles, two triples, three homers and 24 RBI…caught a combined 13 of 63 attempted base stealers in 2023 (79.4 SB%).

2022

Played most of the season with Double-A Hartford (98 games) and slashed .231/.315/.413 with 18 doubles and 15 home runs...Started 92 games at catcher with the Yard Goats and caught 36 of 106 attempted base stealers (66.0 SB%)...With Hartford, hit .295 (13-for-44) with two doubles, two home runs and 15 RBI with runners in scoring position and two outs...Promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sept. 20 and played six games with the Isotopes, going 3-for-21 (.143) with two walks and eight strikeouts.

2021

Saw action with High-A Spokane (46 games), Double-A Hartford (54 games) and Triple-A Albuquerque...Slashed .286/.395/.542 with 11 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs and 30 RBI with Spokane...Earned Player of the Week honors for the week of May 16 after slashing .391/.533/.870 with two doubles, three home runs and nine RBI in seven games. Prior to his promotion, rode a 10-game hitting streak June 17-27 (.385; 15-for-39)...Promoted to Hartford June 29 and slashed .167/.241/.266 with four doubles and five home runs; promoted to Albuquerque Sept. 21 and appeared in three games (0-for-4).

2020

Named to Colorado’s 2020 player pool and spent the 60-game shortened season at the alternate training site in Denver.

2019

Named a South Atlantic League Mid-Season and Post-Season All-Star...Named South Atlantic League Player of the Week for April 4-14, after batting .382 (13-for-34) with three home runs and 11 RBI...Had two multi-home run games, May 20 at Lexington and Aug. 29 vs. Charleston.
