Greg was limited to 61 Minor League games in 2024 in the Yankees system due to two injured list stints (April 7-28, June 16-Aug. 7)…Spent the majority of the campaign with Triple-A Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre, batting .225 (40-for-178) with nine doubles, three triples, three home runs and 22 RBI in 59 games...Hit .271 vs. left-handed pitchers (16-for-59), compared to .211 (42-for-199) vs. righties...Went 2-for-4 with a home run on Opening Day, March 29 in Buffalo.

2023

In 22 games with the Yankees, batted .217 (5-for-23) with one double, one triple, 1HR, 1RBI, 2BB and 3SB…appeared at all three outfield positions for the Yankees (LF – 11G/3GS, RF – 5G/1GS, CF – 3G/2GS)…scored 4R as a pinch runner, tied for the sixth-most in the Majors (tied for fourth in AL)…was originally signed by the Red Sox as a Minor League free agent on 1/13…began the season with Triple-A Worcester, batting .250 (29-for-116) with 25R, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 2HR, 15RBI, 21BB and 23SB…was acquired by the Yankees from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Minor League RHP Diego Hernández and cash considerations on 5/19…was signed to a Major League contract and selected to the active roster prior to the game at Cincinnati on 5/20…was placed on the 10-day injured list on 6/3 with a right hip flexor strain…played six rehab games with Single-A Tampa and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before being reinstated on 7/23…was designated for assignment on 8/22 and elected free agency in lieu of accepting an outright assignment on 8/24…was signed by the Milwaukee Brewers to a minor league contract on 8/31 and assigned to Triple-A Nashville…played eight games with Nashville before being released on 9/17.

2022

Batted .186 (22-for-118) with 17R, four doubles, 2HR, 8RBI, 10BB and 8SB in 46 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates…missed most of the season with a left hamstring strain…was placed on the 60-day injured list on the first day of the season (4/7) and was not reinstated until 7/22… beginning on 7/6, played in seven rehab games with Single-A Bradenton and Triple-A Indianapolis…was designated for assignment on 9/26 and outrighted on 9/29.

2021

Was acquired by the Yankees from San Diego in exchange for LHP James Reeves on 1/6…Was designated for assignment on 2/23 and outrighted to Triple-A on 3/1… Began season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Yankees’ AAA) on 5/4...Had four hits on 6/27 at Lehigh Valley...Was selected to the Major League roster on 7/16 and made debut with New York that night vs. Boston; singled as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning...Hit safely in each of his first five games with the Yankees, going 5-for-12 (.417) with two doubles, a triple, two RBI, three walks, three stolen bases and five runs scored...Became just the second Yankee to record at least three extra-base hits and three stolen bases in his first five games, joining Harry Wolter (April 14-21, 1910)...Stole a base in three straight games for the first time in his career from 7/18-21...Was hit by a pitch in three consecutive games from 7/23-25, marking just the sixth time in franchise history a Yankees player has been hit in three straight games (first time since Todd Frazier in 2017)...Did not play on 7/29 at Tampa Bay after being scratched from the starting lineup with soreness in his right knee...Made eight starts in right field, four appearances (three starts) in center field and five appearances in left field while playing with New York...Was outrighted back to Scranton/WB on 8/4...Hit .418 (23-for-55) with three homers, nine RBI and a 1.191 OPS in 18 Triple-A games during the month of August...Produced a .347 (17-for49) average and .916 OPS in 16 games in September...Made 26 starts in left field, 20 in center field and six in right field while playing with Scranton/WB...Was selected by New York on 10/5 and made the A.L. Combined with Cleveland and San Diego to bat .154 (4-for-26) with four R, one double, one HR and four RBI in 16 games…began the season with Cleveland and played 15 of his 16 games with the Indians, batting .160 (4-for-25) with three R, one double, one HR and four RBI…was acquired by San Diego from Cleveland along with RHP Mike Clevinger and a player to be named later in exchange for INF Gabriel Arias, LHP Joey Cantillo, C Austin Hedges, INF Owen Miller, OF Josh Naylor and RHP Cal Quantrill on 8/31…played in one game with the Padres, going 0-for-1 with one R, two BB, one HBP and one SB on 9/2 at Los Angeles-AL…was part of the Padres’ Postseason Player Pool for the NL Wild Card Series…was added to the active roster for the NLDS vs. Los Angeles-NL and appeared in Game 3 as a ninth-inning defensive replacement (did not bat)…was designated for assignment by the Padres on 12/31…was acquired by the Yankees from San Diego in exchange for LHP James Reeves on 1/6/21…was designated for assignment on 2/23/21 and outrighted to Triple-A on 3/1/21.

Split second straight season between Columbus and Cleveland, spending four overall stints with the Indians after making his first Major League Opening Day roster...Was on the OD roster until April 28 and other stints came May 25-June 3, July 6-30 and again August 6 through the remainder of the season....Started the year 4-for-46 over his first 22 games before connecting on a 2-run, 9th inning home run on May 28 at Boston that tied the game, 5-5...From May 28-end of season he batted .263 (49-186) with 7 2B, 3 3B, 4 HR and 21 RBI over his final 66 games...Overall on the year he made 35 starts in left field (60 games), 15 starts in center field (18 games) and 8 starts in right field (13 games)...Enjoyed a pair of four-hit games, the first of his career, on July 7 at Cincinnati and August 15 at NYY...In the 8/15 game at Yankee Stadium he went 4-for-5 with a 2B, HR, 4 RBI and 4 runs (single-game career-highs for hits, runs, RBI)...From Aug. 16-end of season he batted .183 (15-for-82)...With Columbus, he batted .268 (53-for-198) w/9 2B, 3 3B, 5 HR, 17 RBI and 37 runs in 48 games…Recorded an OPS of .726 vs. right-handed pitching and a .423 OPS vs. left-handed pitching, batting just .186 (13-for-70 from the right side of the plate (2 2B)...Hit .170 (17-for-100) with runners on base and .345 (19-for-55) when leading off an inning.

2018

Split the season between AAA Columbus and Cleveland, spending five stints at the Major League level (April 17-18; May 6-June 17; July 3-18; July 30-31; August 9-remainder)...His fifth and final stint was his most productive of the campaign, compiling a career-high 14-game hitting streak that spanned from July 15-August 21 (longest by a rookie in MLB in 2018), over which he batted .400 (20-50)...Over his final stint with Cleveland from Aug. 9-on, he batted .297 (35-118) over the final 43 games of the season...His 21 steals were the most by an Indians rookie since Kenny Lofton's 66 in 1992...Finished tied for 10th in the American League in steals (most by an A.L. rookie) and T-11th in sac hits (4) ... ‹‹Overall with Cleveland, he made 65 starts in center field (78 games), 4 starts in right (16 games) and made 3 appearances in left on the season...He hit his second career home run on May 27 vs. Houston, a solo homer, walk-off shot in the 14th inning of a 10-9 win off Brad Peacock that capped a five-run comeback...His second homer of the season was a game-winning, two-run shot at Boston on August 20 that snapped a 3-3, 7th inning deadlock (was his first extra-base hit in 72 at-bats)...Enjoyed his first career walk-off homer, May 27 vs. Houston off Brad Peacock(2nd career HR) that capped a 10-9, 14.0-inning win…The 14-game hit streak was the longest by a rookie Indians batter since Michael Brantley in August/September 2010...Batted .316 (37-for-117) with runners on base over his last stint...Hit .483 (14-for-29) on the first pitch.

2017

Spent most of the season at AA Akron before spending the last month of the regular season in Cleveland after a September 1 promotion ...Spent the season at AA Akron, batting .264 (68/258) with 16 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs and 24 RBI in 71 games ...He has also stolen 21 bases in 23 attempts for the RubberDucks (T5th in the Eastern League at the time of his call-up)...He missed two months, May 8-July 13, due to a broken hamate bone in his right hand (surgery) and spent 5 games rehabbing in the Arizona Rookie League in early July. At Akron he batted .356 (26/73) off LHP and hit .298 (34/114) in August with 9 2B, 1 HR, 12 RBI, 17 runs and 9 steals in 28 games over his final month with Akron...The Chula Vista, CA native was Cleveland's sixth round pick (188th overall) in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft and led all of Minor League Baseball with 119 runs scored in 2016 between A Lynchburg and Akron (45 steals were T5th in MiLB)....Entered the season as the ninth-rated prospect in the Indians system according to MLB.com...Named an MiLB.com organization All-Star (OF). Hit a combined .295 (145-491) with 23 doubles, 7 triples, 7 home runs, 44 RBI and 119 runs scored between A Lynchburg and AA Akron...Led all Minor League players in runs scored (13 more than the runner-up) and was tied for fifth with a combined 45 steals in 58 attempts...His .416 combined on-base pct. led all Indians farmhands and his .830 OPS was fourth-best in the system...Led the Carolina League in runs (93) and on-base pct and was second in steals despite being promoted to AA Akron on 7/25...Spent the remainder of the season in Akron, helping them to the Eastern League title...After the season played for Mesa in the Arizona Fall League, hitting .269 (21/78) with 3 2B, 3 HR, 8 RBI and 12 runs in 22 games (.829OPS)...Named to the Top Prospects Team selected by Fall League managers and coaches...Rated by Baseball America as the best defensive outfielder in the Indians organization.

2015

Led the Indians Player Development System with 46 stolen bases...With Lake County, his 83 runs scored were the most by any player in the Midwest League, third-most in the Indians Player Development System, and his 43 stolen bases ranked second in the minors...Spent the last week of the season in Lynchburg...Named Best Defensive Outfielder in the Indians organization by Baseball America entering the 2016 season.
