Jose Iglesias drove in a run with a double that went straight into a puddle
José Iglesias drove in James McCann in the third inning of Wednesday's rain-delayed Indians-Tigers matchup with a hard-hit ball to left field -- or more precisely, to the puddle that had developed along the left-field stands during the aforementioned precipitation.
Now, baseball fields don't typically feature water hazards, and McCann probably would've scored either way, but we're pretty sure this is the first puddle-assisted RBI double of the season. It tied the game, and Iglesias scored on Ian Kinsler's home run in the next at-bat as the Tigers took the lead.
As for the puddle -- it wasn't exactly shallow left field. Right, Rajai Davis?
