Injury: Left hamstring cramping

Status: Recently threw a bullpen (one up-down) and then 25 pitches of live batting practice April 29 in Appleton (High-A Wisconsin). Still TBD when he'll join the rotation. (updated April 29)
OF Garrett Mitchell
Injury: Left oblique tightness
IL date: April 26
Expected return: Late May/early June
Status: Mitchell was placed on the 10-day IL on April 26. He left the April 25 game in the fourth inning after suffering the injury during an at-bat, and manager Pat Murphy expects him to be sidelined for at least a month. (updated April 27) More >>

Status: Cleared to resume baseball activities as of April 22. (updated April 22)
C Jeferson Quero (No. 1 prospect)
Injury: Right shoulder rehab, strained hamstring
IL Date: March 31 (Minor League)
Expected return: TBD
Status: Cleared to resume baseball activities as of an April 22 update and will not need surgery for his hamstring issue, which occurred as Quero was completing his comeback from last year's shoulder surgery. (updated April 22)
LHP Nestor Cortes
Injury: Left elbow flexor strain
IL date: April 6 (15-day, retroactive to April 4; shifted to 60-day on April 21)
Expected return: Late June at the earliest
Status: Received a PRP injection after his April 3 start and discomfort persisted, meaning a longer shutdown. The Brewers do expect Cortes to be able to pitch again this season. (updated April 21)
LHP Connor Thomas
Injury: Left elbow arthritis
IL date: April 8 (15-day IL, retroactive to April 6)
Expected return: TBD
Status: Had an anti-inflammatory injection on April 16 in an effort to calm irritation in his elbow. Will not resume throwing until he is pain-free. (updated April 16)

Injury: Right oblique strain

Status: Had one more bullpen session scheduled for April 15 before graduating to simulated games. (updated April 14)
