About The Shane Victorino Foundation - The Foundation was established in the spring of 2010. Our signature project is the "Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys & Girls Club," located in an impoverished area of Philadelphia and one of only a handful of clubs named in honor of an MLB player. We contributed nearly $1 million towards updating the century-old facility, which was in dire need of repair. In Boston, the Foundation hosts the Flyin’ Hawaiian All-Stars charity ticket program, by which local children’s groups are treated to an unforgettable day at the ballpark. In Shane's native Hawaii, we are helping to provide educational and recreational programs, including: after-school tutoring, mentoring to at-risk youth, among other much-needed resources. In Las Vegas, we host an annual toy drive and kids holiday party for children facing homelessness, poverty and other crisis.

A two time All-Star, four time Gold Glove Winner and two time World Series Champion, the "Flyin’ Hawaiian" patrolled center field at Citizens Bank Park for the Phillies during one of the franchise’s most successful runs from 2007-2011.
Overall, Victorino batted .279 during his Phillies career, totaling 179 stolen bases and 88 home runs. His memorable home runs during the postseason, including a grand slam in the 2008 NLDS off Brewers ace C.C. Sabathia, will forever hold their places amongst iconic Phillies franchise moments.
Victorino’s impact was not only made on the field, but off the field as well. On September 22, 2011, the Nicetown Boys & Girls Club of Philadelphia was renamed the "Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys & Girls Club" after the Shane Victorino Foundation pledged nearly $1 million to renovate the century-old unit.
Dr. Deanna Nobleza is Director of Mental Health for the Philadelphia Phillies. In this role, she oversees the implementation of mental health services and programming for players, coaches, and staff. Dr. Nobleza completed her medical degree and combined residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She was the first staff psychiatrist at Princeton University where she worked with Division I athletes. Prior to joining the Phillies, Dr. Nobleza served as assistant provost and student counseling director at Thomas Jefferson University and helped develop the COVID-19 behavioral health response for the Jefferson Enterprise.
Antonio Cordero is a bilingual, Spanish-speaking licensed mental health psychotherapist and peak performance coach who joins Phillies Mental Health Department. Antonio - a former four-year college athlete - graduated from Boston University with a master’s degree in counseling psychology and specialization in sport psychology.
Antonio's prior work settings include community clinics providing clinical psychology services and private practices focusing on performance optimization for athletes and professionals. Antonio has expertise providing psychological support to individuals, couples, families, groups, and teams.
As the newest staff member of Phillies CAPS (Counseling and Psychiatric Services), Antonio - who will be based out of Clearwater - will provide mental health services and consultation to players, coaches, staff, and families; enhance the psychological wellbeing of athletes and teams through skills training and wellness education; and help maintain protocols to respond to players’ psychological needs.
