Wednesday, 6:35 p.m. ET -- Indianapolis Indians (PIT) @ Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (NYY)
Does good pitching really neutralize great hitting? The Triple-A Indians are going to find out as they send left-hander Hunter Barco (PIT No. 4/MLB No. 87) to the mound against the Minors' home run leader, Spencer Jones (NYY No. 4/MLB No. 92), and the RailRiders. Jones enters the week as the only player in MiLB to have cracked the 30-homer plateau on the season thus far. Barco, meanwhile, is coming off a strong four-inning start last time out.
Thursday, 12:05 p.m. ET -- Somerset Patriots (NYY) @ Portland Sea Dogs (BOS)
This the Double-A version of the best and most storied rivalry in baseball. The Yankees and Red Sox affiliates square off with New York's top prospect George Lombard Jr. (MLB No. 25) leading the Patriots into this midweek matinee. The Sea Dogs' lineup is anchored by Allan Castro (BOS No. 22), a talented outfielder who can provide power and speed.
Friday, 7:05 p.m. ET -- Erie SeaWolves (DET) @ Chesapeake Baysox (BAL)
Erie's lineup brings the thunder to the Great Lakes region, led by shortstop Kevin McGonigle (DET No. 1/MLB No. 2), one of the top hitting prospects in all of baseball. McGonigle carried a 1.005 OPS into play this week, through 63 games. The Baysox lineup goes behind speedy outfielder Austin Overn (BAL No. 30), who entered the week with eight homers and 59 steals on the season, though he only recently arrived at Double-A.
Saturday, 6:45 p.m. ET -- Syracuse Mets (NYM) @ Rochester Red Wings (WSH)
The new-look Syracuse Mets take center stage as one of their newest arrivals, electric right-hander Jonah Tong (NYM No. 4/MLB No. 44), checks in for his Triple-A debut. He'll be surrounded by several fellow promotees, like Carson Benge (NYM No. 1/MLB No. 20) and Jett Williams (NYM No. 2/MLB No. 30), who just arrived from Double-A Binghamton. It's a tall order for a Red Wings lineup anchored by outfielder Christian Franklin (WSH No. 14), facing the Minors' strikeout leader (162) in Tong.
Sunday, 7:05 p.m. ET -- Midland RockHounds (ATH) @ Frisco RoughRiders (TEX)
The Texas League battle puts a spotlight on dynamic RockHounds shortstop Sebastian Walcott (TEX No. 1/MLB No. 4), one of the Minors' most exciting players. Midland is getting acquainted with its new power-hitting third baseman Tommy White (ATH No. 9), who was promoted on July 29 and entered the week looking for his first Double-A dinger.
