Injury: Right shoulder inflammation
IL date: May 27 (10-day IL)
Expected return: End of June/early July
Status: Rejoined Triple-A Toledo to continue rehab assignment. Will start at DH on June 19, then play in the field on June 20. Will play at outfield and third base on assignment before Tigers re-evaluate him. (Updated June 19)
RHP Will Vest
Injury: Right pinkie finger
Expected return: Day-to-day
Status: Left the game June 15 after feeling something in the finger on his final pitch, a wild pitch to the backstop. Tests indicated nothing serious. “We'll go day-to-day and see what he can do for us,” manager A.J. Hinch said, “but I was very thankful that it sounds like we've avoided anything more major.” (Updated June 17)
RHP Alex Lange
Injury: Recovery from lat surgery
IL date: Feb. 12 (60-day IL)
Expected return: Hopefully July
Status: Tossed a perfect inning on 13 pitches with two groundouts and a strikeout to begin a rehab assignment with High-A West Michigan on June 17. Will make a couple of outings there before moving up in the system. (Updated June 17)
RHP Reese Olson
Injury: Right ring finger inflammation
IL date: May 19 (15-day IL, retroactive to May 18)
Expected return: Late June
Status: Allowed two runs on two hits with four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings during a rehab start for Triple-A Toledo on June 14. Will make another rehab start later this week. (Updated June 17) More >>
RHP Alex Cobb
Injury: Right hip inflammation
IL date: March 27 (15-day IL; transferred to 60-day IL on May 30)
Expected return: TBD
Status: Received an injection in his left hip -- which was surgically repaired in 2023 -- to address inflammation, delaying his next rehab start for Triple-A Toledo. Threw two innings on June 11 in a Triple-A rehab start. “I still feel I’m going to pitch this year,” he said. “I just wish it would be sooner.” (Updated June 17)
RHP Jackson Jobe
Injury: Right flexor strain
IL date: May 29 (15-day IL)
Expected return: Possibly 2026
Status: Underwent Tommy John surgery on June 16 and will miss at least the rest of this season. Dr. Keith Meister performed the surgery. (Updated June 17) More >>

Status: Underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2024. Completed his latest bullpen session on June 17. (Updated June 17)
SS Bryce Rainer (Tigers No. 3 prospect, MLB No. 43 overall)
Injury: Dislocated right shoulder
Expected return: 2026
Status: Will undergo season-ending surgery after dislocating his shoulder diving back to first base in a June 3 game for Single-A Lakeland. Expected to be a full participant in Spring Training next year. (Updated June 6)
RHP Jason Foley
Injury: Recovery from right shoulder surgery
IL date: June 2 (60-day IL)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in May after being sidelined at Triple-A Toledo. Called up by Tigers and placed on 60-day injured list on June 2 to open a 40-man roster spot. (Updated June 6)

Injury: Right rotator cuff strain
IL date: March 27 (60-day IL, retroactive to March 24)
