Fans encouraged to allow for extra travel time to Phillies games

Fans traveling to Citizens Bank Park for upcoming Phillies games are encouraged to allow for extra travel time due to SEPTA service changes that began on Sunday, August 24.

While service to the Sports Complex on the Broad Street Line will continue, the overall frequency of trains will be lower depending on the day and time. These reductions include the elimination of special express trains for games, with only local trains operating.

SEPTA's Broad Street Line

SEPTA's Broad Street Line NRG Station is located at Broad & Pattison, a short walk (about seven minutes) from Citizens Bank Park. Trains run every eight to 10 minutes. It takes about 15 minutes to travel from City Hall to NRG Station on a local train.

One way fare on the Broad Street Line is $2.50 cash. Quick Trips are available from Fare Kiosks located in every station on the Broad Street Line. The kiosks accept credit/debit cards and cash. A Quick Trip is a one-way ticket, valid only on the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines on date of purchase.

Your best bet is a SEPTA Key Card. Like a Quick Trip, it is also available from the Fare Kiosks but unlike a Quick Trip, it is reloadable and reusable - making it good all season. The SEPTA Key Travel Wallet allows you to pay as you go and you'll receive a discount for each ride ($2 versus the $2.50 cash fare). Register your SEPTA Key at septakey.org and set-up auto reload so your SEPTA Key is ready to go all season long! Please note, funds in your Travel Wallet can only be used to pay for one (1) person. It cannot be tapped multiple times to pay for anyone traveling with you.

All Regional Rail Lines, the Market-Frankford Line, PATCO and many trolley and bus routes provide convenient connections with the Broad Street Line. Free weekend parking is available at most Regional Rail lots. You can also travel to Citizens Bank Park via SEPTA Bus Routes 4 and 17.
