Shana Daum is entering her 27th season with the Giants and oversees media relations, business and internal communications, external affairs, community relations and player, alumni and family relations. She also works in collaboration with the Giants Community Fund to support the organization’s flagship community program Junior Giants. In addition to managing the Club’s communications strategy and community outreach, programs and initiatives, Daum has played an integral role in many of the organization’s ceremonies, celebrations and awareness events including the opening of Oracle Park in 2000, Until There’s A Cure Day, Strike Out Violence Day, Girls Day, Opening Day festivities, Wall of Fame inductions, World Series Trophy tours, the BP28 Gala and Celebrations of Life for Willie Mays and Orlando Cepeda. She is a member of the Giants DE&I Council and Momentum.
Daum began her sports career with the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Spiders and San Jose Lasers. She is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and received her Master’s in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. Daum is a past board member of Bishop O’Dowd High School and currently serves on UCSF’s Pediatric Cancer Council.
Daum lives in Oakland with her husband, Rick, and has two daughters, Eleanor and Grace.
