Alfonso Felder, who enters his 30th season in the Giants front office, oversees the Ballpark Operations, Experience Development and Giants Enterprises departments. Felder is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Oracle Park and the Giants’ Spring Training facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. Felder is also actively engaged in the Mission Rock development and works with the Giants’ executive team to lead strategic organizational initiatives.
Felder began his front office career at Candlestick Park where he was a key player in the planning and construction of Oracle Park. Felder now oversees capital improvements at the ballpark and has led a wide range of projects including the new bleacher bullpens, the Gotham Club and the Garden at Oracle Park. Felder oversaw the development of the original transportation plan for Oracle Park and was the point person for hosting the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in 2007 and the World Baseball Classic in 2006 (Scottsdale) and 2013 (San Francisco).
Felder’s first job was as a 16-year-old Giants usher at Candlestick Park. He attended UC Berkeley and graduated from Harvard. Felder is also a graduate of the City Year national service program (Boston). He is the President and co-founder of the San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation, the non-profit behind the preservation of numerous neighborhood cinemas including the historic Vogue Theatre. Felder serves on the Board of the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation and is a Director of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency. Felder resides in San Francisco with his wife Tara, and sons, Leo and Max.
