Injury: Left ankle sprain

Expected return: September
Status: Sprained his ankle while running to first base on Aug. 13 in Toronto. Has resumed light activity, and manager Craig Counsell said team is “optimistic” Amaya can return this season. (updated Aug. 18) More >>

Injury: Right shoulder strain

Injury: Right elbow

Status: Morgan has built back up to throwing off a mound. The reliever had a setback with his right elbow on June 17, but received positive feedback and resumed a throwing program. (updated Aug. 2)
