Injury: Head contusion

Status: Left in the fourth inning of the game against the Royals on Aug. 2 after taking a foul tip to the facemask in the top of the second. Heineman has no concussion symptoms, per manager John Schneider. (updated Aug. 2)

IL date: Aug. 1 (7-day concussion IL, retroactive to July 29)
Expected return: Day to day

Injury: Right UCL surgery

Expected return: Potentially late August
Status: Threw a four-inning sim game at the Blue Jays' complex and reached 69 pitches on Aug. 1. His next outing will likely come in Double-A or Triple-A. (updated Aug. 1)
